It is the policy of FF to foster, maintain, and promote equal employment opportunity, where employment is based upon personal capabilities and qualifications without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, political affiliation, age or sex, or any other protected characteristic as established by law.

This policy of Equal Employment Opportunity applies to all policies and procedures relating to recruitment and hiring, compensation, benefits, termination, and all other terms and conditions of employment.

The Executive Director has overall responsibility for this policy and maintains reporting and monitoring procedures. Employees’ questions or concerns should be referred to the Executive Director.

FF Agency and the Board of Directors is committed to providing a work environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. Each individual has the right to work in a professional atmosphere that promotes equal employment opportunities and prohibits discriminatory practices, including harassment. Therefore, FF expects that all relationships among persons in the workplace will be business-like and free of bias, prejudice and harassment.

It is the policy of FF to ensure equal employment opportunity without discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex (with or without sexual conduct), age disability, [Alienage or citizenship status, marital status, creed, genetic predisposition or carrier status, sexual orientation] or any other characteristic protected by law. The following kinds of behavior may be considered forms of harassment:

1. Requests that an employee agree to sexual advances as a basis for making employment decisions. For example, “if you don’t go out with me I’ll fire you” or “If you go out with me I’ll give you that raise you have been seeking.”

2. Other advances or propositions of a sexual nature

3. Un-welcomed sexual flirtation

4. Graphic sexual statements about an individual’s body

5. Using sexual degrading words to describe an individual

6. Gestures of an obscene or sexually suggestive nature

7. Touching or other physical contact with an individual that is not welcomed

8. Posters, pictures, cartoons, toys or objects of a sexual nature

9. Leering or staring that is offensive

10. Hostile comments toward employees in the workplace because of their gender

11. Telling racial, ethnic, age, disability or other degrading jokes

12. Making racial, ethnic slurs and other forms of degrading name calling

13. Making threats or intimidation based on a category protected by applicable law

14. Possessing hostile written or graphic material in the workplace
